JGAL TOUR / NEW ALBUM/ JGAl-STA-GRAM/ BAND OF THE MONTH!

Hey folks, whatuup!!! Yes once again there has been a large gap in our J-BLOG and its only because we have been a very busy busy band this month. We are very happy to finally officially announce the JGAL CALI TOUR , more details will follow  below. Aside from that JGAL has been working on many other things to try and move forward. Maybe it’s the heat or maybe its just life, but the monotony of the same place has started to take its toll. Traveling to new exciting places and exploring whilst writing new music is in the forefront of our minds, and driving us to take our music to new heights.  Please continue to stick with JGAL, because I assure it’s only up from here. We are true believers that if we try our hardest something is bound to happen, because well…we do kick ass!!

 JGAL CALIFORNIA TOUR ( JGAL CALI TOUR )

THAT’S RIGHT AMERICA!  JGAL is very happy to announce that we are finally going on tour! We have been together many years and we have never been past our home  town, Los Angeles.  The van is scheduled to leave on September 16^th and return two weeks later on October 1^st.  This tour we have been planning all on our own, booking and lodging. It has been quite the mission to finagle all this stuff on our own but hey JGAL doesn’t have enough money to hire a tour manager, nor the patience to wait to save the money to. The time is NOW ,we aren’t getting any younger or any better looking so we need to get our butts into gear. Its time to get singed to a Label! We want to gain more fans, and get the attention of labels to let them know what JGAL and our fan base is capable of. 

JGAL has already successfully completed a fund raiser for the JGAL CALI TOUR through www.kickstarter.com  raising over $2500 dollars!  This website was created for people like you and me to make the masses aware of the fact that WE NEED HELP to accomplish some goal or dream. I feel deep down inside we were meant for something more then just working some job, music fills us up. Gets us high, keeps us wanting more constantly we are passionately in love with music. It is all that is on our minds, and the fear that it could be taken away or that the time is dwindling makes us work harder and harder. Believing in our selves and our dreams knowing that it is scary, but refusing to give up and settle for anything less then the stars.

Yup yup yup, Johnny Got A Lighter was chosen as band of the month by Cassell's music.

Probably not many of you have heard of this place since it is a local music shop that most of JGAL frequents. But I bet a lot of you remember that movie Wanye's World yeah?? If you don't just give off of our blog RIGHT NOW!!! haha Just kidding, there is a part where Michael Meyer's character "Wayne" is in LOVE with a guitar.

yeah...this part.....so anyways...THIS IS THE MUSIC STORE that has chosen JGAL as band of the month. We are very stoked and thankful that they think we kick ass!! Please make sure that if you are looking for music accessories that you hit up Cassells and help a local business keep on keeping on. 

JGAL IN DA STUDIO

Yup yup yup, JGAL  is back in the studio with Daniel Balistocky recording our full length live album! We would love to spread more of our music to people, unfortunately time did not allot is to finish it before tour so we will be finishing an releasing it once we get home. What does live mean? Well it means instead of recording each instrument individually we will be recording as live band. Just like you would see us play a show, we are going to be chilling playing ,drinking some brews, telling jokes possibly eating Pringles hahah. Its going to be a good time and guess what you get to be part of it! When you listen it will be just like you were there! Awwww Best friends!!!

Yes people we need to add a fresh batch of all the awesome instagram pics that you have sent us. We have been JGAL-ing it up everywhere including lead singer Rhiana Lewis who visited New York a couple weeks ago, slapped up/passed out hundreds of JGAL stickers. She also managed to get a stage manager to give a stack of stickers to the band “Beach House” !! lets hope they take a listen, cause trust me I think that JGAL would be a awesome band to open for them.
