KROQ LOCALS ONLY / JUSTIV.TV/Johnnygotalighter

WHATTTUPPP!!!!! Hello J-BLOG fans! There has been too long of a break in the blog and I am sorry for that! Hopefully I can make up for it with all this freaking awesome news! First and fore most as most people have seen on our facebook/twitter/rever/ YOU NAME IT , we have been harassing KROQ 106.7  for DAYS to play one of our songs on the show "Locals Only" hosted by Kat Corbett

Here is a little back story....we sent in our Press Kit to Locals only a few weeks ago. NOW OF COURSE I wouldn't send just a regular envelope to them! Cmon this is KROQ they see this shit every day, we had to make it unique. So basically I drew a comic of the listening process there at KROQ including an ending in which KAT CORBETT falls in love with Johnny Got A Lighter listening to it in her Mercedes! Here is a small excerpt. Sadly I didn't take a photo of the whole thing, trust me Im kicking my self!
Trust me it was hilarious! Now to call attention ourselves EVEN more we have launched our 
"get on KROQ LOCALS ONLY CAMPAIGN. "

This entails getting all of our fans/friends/family members to call KROQ and request their favorite song to be played THIS SUNDAY FEB 29th.. WAIT THERE IS MORE! We are going to be featured on JUSTIN.TV HOMEPAGE from 8pm-9pm THIS SUNDAY FEB 29th. That means thousands of viewers will be able to help us harass KROQ right before the show! ACT OF THE WEEK YA'LL!!!!HELP US GET ON KROQ LOCALS ONLY! DON GATO

Yodelito JGAL fans/friends/haters ... though we do not get much haters. But a wise man told me once that once you have haters you KNOW you are on the rise. Too bad constructive critisism doesnt count...or does it???  Alright for real meow I write to you to update you again on wassup with the aweome JOHNNY GOT A LIGHTER. We have had a few exciting things happen this week. First and foremost we were featured as "ACT OF THE WEEK" on E TALENT SHOWCASE check it on out right here!


Ed goes on to say that the tune "Sleepless In San Fernando" really grows on you, and that the singing is a little bit like Janis Joplin !! OHHHH!!!!!! ridic legit!





 Yeah .....hmmmm ......I think I can see it !! Dont worry people I do NOT like Southern Comfort.

Next we have submitted our music to MANY radio stations that including KROQ LOCALS ONLY hosted by Kat Corbett. We need our fans help now by requesting Johnny Got A Lighter ON THE SHOW!! CAll this number

Upcoming shows:
Johnny Got A Lighter will be preforming at Cinespace in the month of Febuary, although the date AND the headliner are still tentaive we have already locked down some awesome bands that including a friend of ours for years "DON GATO". You can check out their music here:


I have heard these guys play since the  very start of the band, and have been able to see them flourish more and more. Don Gato is a group of very talented musicians with a very eclectic mix of sounds. I find myself drifting off into the notes taking me to far away memories in my mind, while I close my eyes and dance to the music. I would love to get on that playground of notes and sing on top of it!!!

JGAL TO PLAY CINE SPACE! TELL ONE FRIEND CAMPAIGN!

Hello Johnny Got A Lighter FANS AND FRIENDS!! What up!!!!???? Here is the latest update on whats going on in JGAL LIFE.
First and foremost we are very excited to announce....


FUTURE SHOWS: 
Jan 19th, 2012 @ Dim Mak Studios !!!
More details to be announce in the VERY near future. It will be double awesome because you can catch a handful of genres this night, from dance music to band music! YEAH!!

Next on the agenda Johnny Got A Lighter has launched our " TELL ON FRIEND" campaign. The idea is to help spread the word on Johnny Got A Lighter we are asking our friends and fans to tell one friend about us, and then ask them if they will tell a friend ...and so forth. Here is what it looks like...


Our aim is to reach 1000 likes by March 1, 2012. If (and when!) we succeed we will throw a fa fa freeeeee show for all of ya'll!!! That's right! So lets do it!! Help us follow our biggest dream to live our lives as musicians!!! Help us get fa fa fa fa FAMOUS!!! ...That was kind of nerdy....yikes...
