OTHER DOOR RECAP/ JGAL+ UCLA RADIO INTERVIEW/CONTEST/ MEET OUR FANS

WHHHATTUUUP?!?! Hey everyone, glad to see you back on here again reading our blog. Thanks to all of you readers we are steadily being read on a daily basis! We are glad to see everyone is getting a steady dose of the J.BLOG! ohhhhh So that's pretty cool! Well, we played a totally awesome show at a cool up and coming spot called "The Other Door." We were offered a promoter named Ahmad Alkurabi who runs AMA Productions whom we've been booking with this guy for years now. He used to be the dude that booked over at Skinny's in North Hollywood, the place where Johnny Got A Lighter had their very first residency. He is a totally honest and fair guy who fully parties and is friends with the bands, holla at him if you're tryna get a show going at The Other Door and other various places.

Aside from the booking, the rest of the show went pretty well. We had a kick ass time playing with our friend's bands "Fourth and Jessie," "1000 Needles" and "Dj KP and Tib AKA Tib Peace....I've been calling it K ! I ! P ! and T ! I ! B ! !( hahha I think mine is best.....) All of us playing together was quite the mix of genres, but someting that we felt was genius. Who says you have to have all the same kind of sounding bands at a show?!?! Whom ever did was underestimating a lot of people, because C'MON it's not like people just want to hear one style of music.  In fact, I even heard compliments in regards to the eclectic mix of sounds that were combined that night. All in all, the show was a success, lots of people came and lots of people sported the LA LAKERS. Including of course.. ALL of JGAL. The Other Door is a totaly cool spot, with reasonably priced drinks. I am sure we will hit up that spot again.

It's official, JGAL can now be heard on UCLA's radio station! Just a few nights ago we were played on the show "Random Thoughts w/Big MRocks" a show featured weekly on UCLARADIO.COM. Here is a link to them playing our song and discussing afterward on sound cloud!

We are very stoked that our new EP has been put into the library at UCLA. So any ol' time you want, you can request us and they might just play us. Yes! Pretty freakin awesome. Not only this but JGAL is to be INTERVIEWED MARCH 15th live on the show!

SEAN PETERSON

Without Sean the lineup of Johnny Got A Lighter would be a hell of a lot different. Let me tell you. That's right he is responsible for introducing Rhiana to the rest of the guys in the band. Aside from just this wonderful tid bit, Sean has played a huge roll in the building of Johnny Got A Lighter.  From taking pictures and video taping all our videos to helping make costumes and props and introducing us on stage. Sean has been caught more than one time singing with Johnny Got A Lighter on stage and just most recently did a freestyle to our song "Down."  On numerous occasions he has helped us in a myriad of ways, that including attending EVERY SINGLE SHOW, and always getting really pissed off for us if the sound wasn't good at the show. He has had a hand in pretty much anything we have done, productions wise, from justin.tv to our album cover and he has even been a great voice of reason many times. Check out some of his work below that he has done for JGAL, as well as the work he is doing for others. He runs a production company along with Coddee Maves called Counter Media as well as plays drums in the band LAND AZURE. Sean is an amazing asset to JGAL, we definitly would not be the same band with out him.

Ray Azusada

Meet another super awesome fan of Johnny Got A Lighter, Ray Azusada! Ray has been around since the beginning of JGAL and has always been a mad supporter as well as super commited to the well being of Johnny Got A Lighter. Similar to the rest of our super dope fans, Ray has gotten up and sang with us on stage. That including below at our EP release, LOFT PARTY!!! YEAH!!! Which brings me to the next story of later that night when everyone could barely walk...Ray helped lug all the equipment downstairs! Ray has attended every show, every event that we have had, from Justin.Tv to of course the filming of our music video. Everywhere you look through JGAL history you will see Ray's smiling face somewhere up front or in the background. He has posted up many JGAL stickers all over the freaking place including in NEW YORK! ohhhh! We are all very thankful to have Ray as our friend and fan!
